1. What is Discount Dental Program (DDP)?
A: DDP is a dental program entitling you to receive 40-60% off
most dental procedures. To become a member, you pay a membership fee
when you enroll that allows you to take advantage of greatly reduced
fee schedules on a variety of dental procedures. You will receive a
membership card when you enroll that you will be asked to present at
each visit for membership verification.
2. What is different about this program from others like
Careington, Uni-Care or AmeriPlan?
A: The DDP is very unique. There are many procedures included in
this program that are beyond the scope of other dental benefit
programs. Our highly trained providing dentists are capable of
performing almost all dental procedures. Additionally we offer
discounts on a wide variety of preventative, restorative, and
cosmetic procedures. Because our providers have the training and
skills to complete your care, you will seldom be asked to see
another dentist to have your dental care completed.
3. Who should become a member of Discount Dental Program?
A: As stand-alone coverage, the Discount Dental Program offers
valuable benefits, providing you with access to a wide variety of
services at very reasonable prices. DDP's quality preventative
dentistry services can assure good dental health for your family.
This means huge savings through the prevention of serious and costly
dental procedures. Because there are no exclusions for pre-existing
conditions and no waiting period, you should consider the Discount
Dental Program if you have serious existing dental problems that
require immediate work.
4. What services do you provide that are generally not
available from other discount dental programs?
A: In addition to regular preventative and cosmetic dentistry
services, we offer complete dental care including:
- Full Mouth Reconstruction
- Porcelain Crowns and Bridges
- Cosmetic Smile Makeovers Surgical Placement of Dental
Implants
- Surgical Tooth Extractions
- Root Canals
- Periodontal Surgery
- Invisalign (clear braces)
- And Much More ………
5. How does this plan differ from dental insurance?
A: Because Discount Dental Program is not dental insurance, there
are no waiting periods, no limitations on how much dentistry may be
performed, and no insurance claims to file. With dental insurance,
there is often a limit on coverage per calendar year and a waiting
period before coverage goes into effect for certain procedures.
Following enrollment in DDP, members simply pay the discounted rate
at the time of service.
6. Can I benefit from DDP even if I have dental insurance?
A: Although the Discount Dental Program can work well as your
only policy, you may also find it valuable if you already have
dental insurance. Our centers will provide you with the necessary
information to file your claims so that you can take advantage of
your insurance coverage and dramatic reductions in the cost of
services and procedures through our program. Many dental insurance
programs have a maximum benefit limit set per year. The Discount
Dental Program provides a nice safety net should you exceed your
dollar limit and still require dental work. Use the Discount Dental
Program and your dental insurance together to reduce your
out-of-pocket expenses and receive access to unlimited treatment
without benefit limits or deductibles.
7. How long does it take to sign up?
A: Applications are processed within 10 days. Dental services may
be scheduled before you receive your Discount Dental Program
membership card at the discretion of the participating provider.
8. How much will I save on my dental care?
A: Along with your membership card, you will receive a complete
list of all dental procedures that we provide and a fee schedule for
those services.
